Our Story
Marine Craft Zone began its journey in the early ’80s as Derricks Marine, founded by Derrick Anderson, who was awarded the Yamaha outboard agency. For years, Derrick kept holiday boaters, water sports lovers, and local fishermen on the water. Upon Derrick’s retirement, Craig Lellyett took the helm, relocating the business to Piesang Valley Road and renaming it to Plett Yamaha.
A New Era
With a dedicated team, including Rory Lombard and his business partner Mike de Kock, Marine Craft Zone has grown into a serious player in the South Cape boating industry. In 2020, Rory and Mike took over the business, investing in quality boats and motors, which led to achieving Yamaha’s top-selling dealer ranking.

Marine Craft Zone is a family business at heart, with Nicky Lombard managing accounts and Dwayne Lombard leading sales. Their combined experience and passion for the marine industry ensure unparalleled customer service and quality.
Innovative Offerings
Recognizing the need for top-class fishing tackle, we opened “The Tackle-Box,” managed by expert fisherman Wade Scott. Our new racing department, led by award-winning Formula 1 Racing technician Attie Tromp, is set to make waves in the marine sports world.
